Harold A. Pope never set out to be a politician—he set out to serve. It has always been a calling rooted in leadership, advocacy, and standing up for others. He built his life through service—as a soldier, community leader, mentor, and advocate for working families. From serving as a Major in the United States Army to working alongside union employees at Ford Motor Company and leading efforts through the NAACP, Harold saw firsthand that too many people work hard every day but still struggle to get ahead. He realized that real change requires leadership that listens, shows up, and fights for the people—not special interests. Harold is running for the Michigan House of Representatives because he believes every family deserves opportunity, dignity, and a government that works for them. As your State Representative, Harold will stand up for working families, strong neighborhoods, quality education, and a future where everyone has a fair chance to succeed.
